Client CASE STUDY
SITUATION: Our client's Channel Marketing Group needed to rekindle interest from its dealer base in a product-saturated market. Enter Pixelton, where pixels come to life!
MARKETING CHALLENGE: The campaign targeted North and Central America, requiring secure access for dealers via the Partner Site, personal visits from the Channel Marketing Team, and co-branding capabilities. It also needed to cover the client's four major vertical markets: Business, Education, IT/AV Managers, and Retail.
APPLICATION OF SOLUTIONS: We developed a cohesive theme, name, co-branded direct mail, and giveaways. The concept was to create Pixelton, a vibrant city built entirely from pixels and Lego® bricks. Each vertical market was represented by its unique building within this pixelated paradise.
The web landing page featured an elaborate "cartoon" cityscape. Clicking on a building took users into a specific room corresponding to that vertical market (e.g., clicking on the schoolhouse led to a classroom). Within these rooms, items were interactive, showcasing powerful and unique applications of the product.
For promotional giveaways, we created a character for each vertical market, each with a name and bio. These characters were turned into life-sized Lego figures, pixel-perfect and block-tastic! They were a highlight of the launch announcement and featured prominently at tradeshows and dealer events. We also cross-marketed with other brands commonly found in each market's "room."
RESULTS: Pixelton celebrated a successful campaign with a 25% increase in partner membership within six months. Sales remain strong, with dealers now submitting their unique application ideas. We developed this site on the corporate website for end-user access. Pixels and Lego bricks—what more could you want?
